Aleksandar Radovanović - Secondment from UBFC to GENOS

Aleksandar Radovanović from the University of Belgrade Faculty of Chemistry performed his

two-month secondment at partner GENOS, as part of the EXPAND-EV project. The work centered on establishing a protocol for preparing N-glycan samples from plasma-derived EVs and optimizing the analytical workflow for EV glycome analysis using modern chromatography techniques.

In addition to the main activities, Aleksandar took part in further glycomic analyses of immunoglobulins, including the isolation and analysis of N-glycans from IgG samples and the evaluation of matrices and purification conditions for other immunoglobulins from biological samples.

Through this secondment, Aleksandar gained hands-on experience in glycomics and EV characterization methodologies, developing skills in N-glycan preparation, purification and labelling, as well as UPLC-MS analysis.
