Evangelos Korakidis - Secondment from HPI to GENOS

As part of the EXPAND-EV project, Evangelos Korakidis from partner Hellenic Pasteur Institute completed a two-week training period at GENOS in Zagreb, Croatia, focusing on the glycomic analysis of breast cancer cell-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs). During the stay, Evangelos gained hands-on experience in EV lysis, glycan labelling and liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS) analysis, with the aim of quantifying glycan abundance and characterising EV glycome profiles.

The training provided valuable practical expertise in glycomic analysis methodologies relevant to biomarker discovery and therapeutic delivery, while supporting knowledge exchange and scientific collaboration within the EXPAND-EV consortium.
