As part of the EXPAND-EV project, Eirini Kyriakopoulou from the Hellenic Pasteur Institute (HPI) visited the University of Nova Gorica (UNG) in September 2025. During this two-week secondment, Eirini received both theoretical and practical training in phage display and binder discovery. During this time, she focused on key aspects of library handling, screening workflows, and binder selection using soluble proteins as model systems.

Eirini also participated in a workshop on in silico and in vitro panning, which included computational design, molecular visualization with PyMOL, and hands-on phage display exercises. This experience strengthened Eirini’s understanding of experimental design and binder recovery processes, providing valuable skills for future applications in extracellular vesicle research.
